Patrick Stewart’s meeting with Marvel director Kevin Feige gave us a lot to talk about, although the actor already admitted that he was to repeat his role as Charles Xavier, he also stated that Hugh Jackman will not be Wolverine again for the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse.

After the encounter between the actor who gave life to Professor X in the first X-Men films with the director of Marvel was published, fans were hoping that this could be the first clue to the return of the mutant team.

To clear up doubts and rumors, Stewart confirmed that he has no plans to return to the Marvel franchise and added that the only seat he plans to sit on is on the ship’s bridge in ‘Star Trek: Picard’.

While promoting the series, Stewart spoke frankly about the MCU and also said that Hugh Jackman will not be Wolverine again, according to what he knows.

The actor revealed that he recently had “long, long conversations” with Kevin Feige, about “movements and suggestions” in the near future, but he does not expect to return to the role of Professor X.

Stewart’s argument is that both he and Jackman had an excellent closure to their stories in the movie ‘Logan’.

”Here’s the problem… If we had not made Logan, then yes, I would probably be ready to get into that wheelchair one more time and be Charles Xavier. But Logan changed all that.” Stewart said.

Patrick Stewart added that on a personal level the film moved him and he knows that both Hugh Jackman and him made the “decision that we were saying goodbye to our characters as well. In that sense, it was not just the deaths of those two men in the franchise, but it was also goodbye to our part in them as well.”

Although this might not be Jackman’s last word (because he didn’t even declare it), in the past the Australian actor has said he would like to make a ‘Wolverine vs. Hulk’ movie, in addition to participating with Ryan Reynolds in an installment of ‘Deadpool.’
