It seems that remakes, adaptations and sequels are most of the new projects being worked on these days. Along those lines, Jim Carry and his portrayal of the villain Dr. Robotnik, in the live-action Sonic movie, once again influenced a great box office success, so now, the comedian could reprise one of his most iconic roles, Ace Ventura, the pet detective, as a third installment to this character is reportedly in the works.

Jim Carrey has given us considerable entertainment, both on and on the big screen. From outstanding dramas like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Truman Show to Man on the Moon, but we certainly remember him mostly from the hilarious personalities he brought to life like: Ace Ventura!

At the end of 2019 rumors had already spread about this third installment, although without knowing for sure if Jim Carrey would be the protagonist of the film, but now there is a studio interested in distributing this film and even a written script.

The production company Morgan Creek Productions is eager to start working on this story, although we are still waiting for the famous actor to sign up to participate in the project, because we well know that without his presence, Ace Ventura will not be the same. However, according to fresh information, a new adventure from the world’s most famous pet detective is in full swing.

Morgan Creek Productions points out that although it has not yet been confirmed which studio will distribute the feature film, most likely, it will be Warner Bros who is in charge of this work, simply because it was done with the first two Ace Ventura films.

The final decision would largely depend on Jim Carrey’s decision to take the lead role. Hopefully, he comes through because in addition to being a great actor, the script for this third installment has already been written and the loyal fans guarantee success at the box office and distribution platforms.

It is rumored that the plot will include Ace’s exit from the pet detective business, and should explore the motive that led him to make this decision. Most importantly, the focal point is how the story develops in the modern world, since, the first installment took place 25 years ago, in 1994.
