We’ve gotta Han it to them, the first trailer of ‘Fast and Furious 9’ made all of the fans jump out of their seats when they saw that Sung Kang was returning to avenge his character, with this revealed, the question arises how Han survive the accident in ‘Tokyo Drift’?

The last time Han was seen alive, was in ‘Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift’, in that film he has a car accident where he loses his life, later discovered in ‘Fast and Furious 7’ It wasn’t an accident and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) planned it all.

It is obvious that Han escaped from his car before it exploded unless someone pulled him out just in the nick of time. So where has he been all this time? Probably waiting for the right moment until it was safe to come out of hiding, or recovering from some dramatic injury due to the accident. It is still unclear what he knows or how he managed to get in touch with the team, but surely everything will be resolved on the film.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the film’s director, Justin Lin, talked about why he decided to bring Han back.

“Obviously, I have a very personal connection to the character. To be honest, when we first started, the community of Fast was not the community that it is today. I feel like, together, every kind of connection with the audience, we had to earn. With these sequels, sometimes people take it for granted and think it’s just going to happen; I always think we have to earn the next one,” said the director.

Along with the explanation of how Han survived the ‘Tokyo Drift’ accident, more surprises, secrets and adrenaline await in ‘Fast and Furious 9’ which will arrive in all theaters in May this year .
