The South Korean company will present, as part of CES 2020, a new line of monitors that will have a curvature designed to increase gaming experiences.
The models are part of their Odyssey line, which will include and credible model: a 49-inch Odyssey G9 display. In addition, the tech giant will also release two Oyssey G7 versions that will have 32 and 27 inch variants.
Samsung promises that these parts have high-performance QLED image quality and will feature an “extremely deep curvature” of a 1000R radius. Consider the following image:
In technical terms, the Odyssey G9 will be the first ultra-wide screen Dual Quad High-Definition (DQHD) with a resolution of 5120 by 1440, an aspect ratio of 32: 9, maximum brightness of 1000cd / m2 and will be compatible with HDR1000. It is bright white and a 52 color lighting system with five effects is integrated in the back.
For its part, the Odyssey G7 monitors are black and will still have the curvature but some features will be lower. For example they have a resolution of 16: 9 QHD, HDR600 and a brightness of 350cd / m2.
The monitors, which will be internationally certified in their curvature, have an update frequency of 240Hz, a response time in 1ms pixels, will be compatible with Adaptive Sync and Nvidia G-Sync. In addition, they are expected to be released during the second quarter of this year.
