The film industry dilemmas continue to escalate due to the coronavirus. After canceling the releases of A Quiet Place 2 and Fast & Furious 9, now it’s Disney who is shutting events down.

The most striking case involves The New Mutants, as the production had multiple problems prior to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. The former executives wanted to modify the cut, so they postponed its launch, which should have launched a couple of years ago. Once the negotiations came to an agreement, and its premiere was projected for April, the production once again has to modify its release date.

Meanwhile, the project with the most grossing potential, Mulan’s live-action, was also removed from the launch grid, despite the fact that it was planned to hit the big screen at the end of the month. Finally, the other film that was postponed involves the horror thriller Antlers, produced by Guillermo del Toro for Fox. Both productions also do not have a new release date.
