In 1984, The Terminator debuted, a film that established Arnold Schwarzenegger as a major movie star. And with the exception of Salvation 2009, the actor has been in every new sequel. Now the former governor is currently in the process of making another Terminator.
The Terminator 2019
The film will feature the T-800 meeting with Sarah Connor for the first time since Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 1991. With Linda Hamilton making her highly anticipated return to the big screen. Both she and newcomer Mackenzie Davis have been seen in the filming the next science fiction movie.
Of course, Arnie and Hamilton will not be the only family figures to return to the franchise. With James Cameron has also returned to help with production duties. With the new movie ignoring everything in the timeline of the series from the first two entries. It is clear that Cameron hopes to recapture the magic of the first classic unveiled. An approach that Schwarzenegger expressed support for since last year, telling Business Insider the following:
“I think Cameron and [director Tim] Miller came up with a concept where they can continue with the T-800 but make a completely new movie. What you need to do now with this is simply to take a few very basic characters, like the character of Linda Hamilton and my character, and discard everything else. Just get away from all these rules of the timeline and other characters. “
We can only hope that this new Terminator will be as epic as the the first and second. The new Terminator will hit theaters on November 22, 2019.
