According to Variety, the studio Walt Disney gave the green light for a new live action ‘Bambi’ remake.
With little information released, it is known that the feature will have the same photorealism technique used in ‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’ and ‘The Lion King’.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Lindsey Beer will be responsible for the script, while Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz step in as producers.
Released in 1942, ‘Bambi’ is one of the most memorable films in the House of Mouse and one of its saddest stories. Based on the novel by Felix Stalten, the film grossed more than $267 million at the worldwide box office.
