This would be a great casting! After having played one of the most popular villains of the MCU, the actor could enter the rival franchise to become one of the most powerful superheroes that exists in the DC Universe, since apparently, Warner Bros, is planning to bring back Green Lantern into the DCEU.

After the first adaptation of ‘Green Lantern’ starring Ryan Reynolds became a great failure, the studio decided to give the character a long break. Nevertheless, it is aware of its great popularity, so now it is time to bring it out of retirement and give him a series on HBO Max, and already has plans for a superhero movie.

Reports indicated that the studio no longer wants to have Hal Jordan as the main hero of its next ‘Green Lantern’ installment, therefore, the titled role would fall to John Stewart. Not surprisingly, they already have the actor that they would like to see wearing the ring, hence they will do their best to get Michael B Jordan to accept the role.

According to the insider, Mikey Sutton, Michael B Jordan tops Warner Bros’ favorites list to become the next Green Lantern, something that his sources have already confirmed to him, he even mentioned that the studio is very seriously discussing making a film focused on John. Stewart, on this account, it is likely that we will soon see the actor wearing the emerald ring.

Some time ago it was said that Michael B Jordan was in talks with Warner Bros to become the next Superman, he was also related to the role of Hawkman, however, everything seems to indicate that he will play John Stewart in the DCEU. This of course means that there will be no problem for Zack Snyder to bring back Ryan Reynolds’ Hal Jordan in his next version of ‘Justice League’, if he chooses to.

This is how it was revealed that Michael B Jordan will be the next Green Lantern, which makes sense considering how popular the actor has been lately. Combined with the resurgence of the DCEU, a universe that will begin to have a greater expansion with the arrival of his series to HBO Max, and having the actor in their ranks could be a huge boost for their project.
