These series join Shang-Chi and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in the list of Marvel Studios projects affected by COVID-19.
In a decision that was seen coming since The Falcon and The Winter Soldier suspended its filming in Prague this week, Variety says that Marvel Studios also stopped work on its other series for Disney Plus: WandaVision and Loki.
For now it is unknown for how long the development of these series will remain suspended and it is also unknown whether or not this will impact their release dates.
The decision to stop production of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki, also comes after Disney decided to pause the development of most of its live-action movies, a determination that affected another Marvel Studios project: Shang -Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings.
However, as we write this, the studio has made no decision on the premiere of Black Widow, its next film that will begin hitting theaters in late April.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was able to film part of the story in Atlanta, United States, and had moved to Prague in the Czech Republic last week. However, they did not manage to shoot in that country before it was determined that it was best to stop production and send the cast and crew back to the United States.
As revealed by photos from the set, Loki was also in the filming stage but for now there are no further details about it. As for WandaVision, things are even more airtight but the series had started filming last year.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier should be released in August, WandaVision would have to debut in December and Loki would do the same in 2021.
