Finally something we always wanted to see: Tom Welling flying in the Superman suit, and all thanks to technology and Man of Steel.

Since his debut in Smallville in 2001, one of the most anticipated moments was to see the young hero become Superman and fully use his powers. That series in which the young Clark Kent was discovering his destiny and forging his character as a superheroe, captured an entire generation. However, one after another, the seasons passed and Welling didn’t seem to put on the iconic red and blue Superman suit.

In fact, when the end of the tenth season arrived, which also marked the end of the series, Tom Welling merely showed the Superman “S” under the tailor suit worn by the new reporter Clark Kent.

At the end of 2019, as the great crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths approached when it was learned that Tom Welling would have a cameo reprising his Smallville character, speculation was swift and the hope of seeing him wear the Superman suit once again rose.

In fact, the madness grew when it was learned that other Men of Steel would appear, Such was the case of Brandon Routh, a tribute to Christopher Reeve, and it was even thought that they were going to invite Nicolas Cage to incorporate his failed Kryptonian.

However, despite the exciting scene of the reunion between the Louis and Clark from Smallville, we were left wanting to see Tom Welling in the Superman suit again. In fact, the actor stated that if he was asked to put on the character’s tights, he would have rejected the project.

Recently, the YuoTube user known as Jarkan, whose channel is dedicated to popular deepfakes, performed a huge mashup that combines Welling’s face with the body of Henry Cavill in his portrayal of Kal-El in Man os Steel (2013).

The result is a gift for the nostalgic:
