After several metal obelisks were sighted in the United States and Romania, the group The Most Famous Artist made a series of posts on their Instagram suggesting they were responsible for this mystery.
The installation of several metal monoliths in the middle of the desert has been claimed by a group of artists called The Most Famous Artist in posts on their Instagram account.
Against the backdrop of different theories on the appearance of these obelisks relayed on social networks, the group The Most Famous Artist first published a photograph of a monolith accompanied by the web address monoliths-as-a-service.com and some technical characteristics proving they were responsible.

Then, the group released screenshots of some media articles about these objects. Finally, several photos showing a man wearing a mask and a hat, involved in the creation of a monolith, were also posted. Written in the caption, the sentence “You mean it wasn’t aliens?!” is followed by the web address already mentioned.
Some subscribers asked him whether the group was responsible for this installation. Which they confirmed several times: “If by” you “you mean of us, then yes”.
Previously, the group’s founder, Matty Mo, said in an interview with Mashable that he had not published the photo of the monolith in Romania because he only had “three places for the photographs on [his] site”. However, the artist did not confirm nor deny his involvement in the installation of the objects, the media said.
“I can say that we are well known for these kinds of getaways and currently offer authentic works of art through monoliths as a service,” said Mo.
The monoliths are sold at 45,000 dollars each.
