The new season of ‘The Mandalorian’, could exceed the first, something that at first seemed difficult to do, but with the incorporation of Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett added to the plot, Disney seems to be preparing an epic story. What is more, apparently the Heroes will have a difficult mission ahead, since Moff Gideon could use force as a Sith in this new session.
The first season of ‘The Mandalorian’ ended with the revelation that Moff Gideon had the Darksaber in his possession, fans were blown away, an iconic weapon in the ‘Star Wars’ universe that was designed by Tarre Vizla, who was the first Jedi Mandalorian and as a result of his Death has passed through different hands, including Darth Maul. In that sense, we still do not know how Giddeon obtained it.
That Gideon can wield the Darksaber opens up the possibility that his connection to the Dark Side of the Force, (which, as we all know, is a pathway to many abilities, some considered to be unnatural) is deeper than we imagined, so possibly the villain may be aligned with the Sith, a revelation that could be made during the second season of the series. To put forward additional confirmation, Giancarlo Esposito spoke about the role his character will play in ‘The Mandalorian 2’.
In a recent interview, with Entertainment Tonight, Esposito revealed that his character might even have something to do with Darth Vader.
“To be in the position of having that regal, graceful power but have this saber which delineates a different part of me than any other character. To have this saber means I can use it, and I can do my own dirty work, that I’m a fighter, that I’m a warrior. That’s part of me. It also creates the possibility that he is one of the ones (a sith), He possibly has that, and that to me is interesting because is he really that fallen hero? Is he a descendant of Darth Vader. Who is he? What does he want? He knows all about everything, and you’ll have to wait to find out. Yeah, he’s actually pretty good with that Darksaber too, ” said Esposito.
These statements open up endless possibilities for the character, as it is possible that Gideon will reveal himself as a Sith, since while it is exceptionally improbable that he is a relative of Darth Vader, it is possible that Gideon refers to the fact that both of them are able to use the force and if this is true, Mando and Baby Yoda will face a powerful enemy. Fortunately, they will have the assistance of Ahsoka Tano.
This is how Moff Gideon would potentially utilize the force in the second season of ‘The Mandalorian’, which will surely increase fans expectations and the desire to see the series. Disney is setting the bar extraordinarily high for the second season, and we all hope the show does not disappoint.
