According to Redanian Intelligence, actor Kristofer Hivju, particularly known for having played Tormund in the successful Game of Thrones series, will play a role in the new season of The Witcher. In the reports obtained by the media one of the casting sheets contained the code name “Nigel,” the character that Hivju will play.
It is believed that this nickname refers to Nivellen, a character that appears in the book ”The Last Wish” and who has a monstrous appearance because a priestess cursed him to punish him for his evil actions. In the casting sheet of The Witcher collected by the medium, “Nigel” is described as “a charismatic, witty and funny man”, also pointing out that the character will be “physically demanding with a requirement of a great emotional range.”
The Witcher season 2 will arrive on Netflix sometime in 2021.
