Tatooine – We never imagined, but 2020, humanity’s worst year, was the best year for Star Wars. The franchise that once belonged to George Lucas had turned into a fateful disaster with The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, however, the hope that The Mandalorian sowed since its first season was released in 2020. Today the second season of the series starring Baby Yoda ended and because of it, the fans not only forgave Disney, they also realized that it was the best thing that could happen to the franchise.
Thanks to the latest episode of the series, lifelong Star Wars fans finally realized why it made sense to selling the franchise to Mickey Mouse, but it was not a simple reconciliation. Now the army of people who have been touched by The Mandalorian has launched a petition for the JJ Abrams sequel trilogy to be replaced with the Baby Yoda series.
Since, in the final chapter of this season, the story sanctioned by The Mandalorian reveals one of our favorite characters from the original saga. The detractors of the last films starring Rey and Kylo Ren want to replace this trilogy by JJ Abrams with The Mandalorian and any future projects spearheaded by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Today's episode is going to play 24/7 in my head.

fire JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson and hire Dave Filoni and John Favreau to redo the sequel trilogy
They actually care about their medium and the content they create.

The Mandalorian final makes me hate the last three movies even more. This is the way Star Wars should be. Suck it JJ Abrams. #Mandalorian

Mandalorian season 2 just made up for everything #RianJohnson #JJAbrams and #KathleenKennedy did to ruin Star Wars. @dave_filoni @Jon_Favreau I love you.

The season 2 finale of @themandalorian was so amazing that it just makes me further resent @Disney ‘s choices of putting directors like @rianjohnson and @jjabrams in charge of the sequels and absolutely butcher it

We can’t wait to see what other incredible stories await us in the following planned series. While fans want the sequels to be erased from the Star Wars timeline, the final decision is up to Disney. Maybe they’ll listen to fans in a similar way Warner Bros. fulfilled their request, releasing the Justice League Snyder Cut. We can only hope.
