Both Alien and Predator are strong franchises that have not, at least recently, had the expected success when they release a movie. Now there is a lot of news about reboots and series coming to Disney+. These new installments of both monsters are now reportedly going to face a worthy opponent, Dwayne Johnson.

The actors career has certain similarities to Arnold Schwarzenegger’, as they both became successful through action, science fiction and comedy films, with their muscular physiques. But now they could be united by the Predator franchise.

The new reports ensures that Dwayne Johnson wants to participate in a Predator movie, but it would not be the one that has been officially announced, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, responsible for 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016), and episodes of The Boys from Amazon and Black Mirror on Netflix. In this new story, they want to make a sequel to the Predators (2010), with Adrien Brody reprising as Royce accompanied by Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch.

Therefore, Dwayne Johnson would not fit in this production, and his participation is reported to be in a reboot of the saga, it might also have a different tone than we are used to with the franchise. Especially to adjust more to the movies that “The Rock” usually makes. Although for now it seems unlikely that this idea will take off, simply because the actor’s schedule is full, as he will soon premiere on Netflix’s Red Notice, Disney’s Jungle Cruise and the Young Rock series that is about himself when he was young.

But in addition, Dwayne Johnson has many other projects underway, the most prominent being that of Balck Adam, where he will play a DC Comics antihero. In the works, the actor will also play King Kamehameha who fulfilled his prophecy of uniting the Hawaiian islands in the movie The King. Other projects he has underway are San Andreas 2, where he will again face different natural disasters, the superhero Doc Savage and The Scorpion King.

Dwayne Johnson loves to work hard, it has always been one of his primary ideologies. Fans cannot get enough of the ex-wrestler who seems to entertain and impress audiences, in every movie he’s involved.
