Tine Mena is the first woman from North East India to summit Mount Everest. Her ascent was focused on raising awareness about climbing for the youth in Arunachal Pradesh, where she lives. Now, Mena shares her knowledge of the outdoors with her community with the hope that it will inspire them to explore the world around them. This mountainous state, has limited exposure to climbing and adventure sports, which Mena is determined to change. Filmmaker Tushar Joneja profiles this extraordinary woman in his short piece Beyond Everest.
