Earlier today, the world was at a standstill for many people as Netflix stopped working for about an hour. “Netflix error: this title is not available to watch instantly,” was the only thing anyone could see.
Netflix tweeted to inform the World that they were “aware of members having trouble streaming on all devices” and that they were “investigating the issue” and appreciated our patience. At this point in time one can only take a gander as to what caused the outage as Netflix has not released a formal statement explaining the problem or how it was resolved.
People had to resort to other means of entertainment; whether it was streaming from a competitor’s app or scrolling through social media. However, if we think back to before social media and video streaming took over, people actually had to drive to a local video rental store for means of entertainment.
