Microsoft announced a new category on the marketplace called the Educational Collection, which will offer extensions to learn through the video game.
Coping with a pandemic is difficult, and maintaining quarantine can also be difficult, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to entertain and learn at the same time. This is why Minecraft is offering its Educational Collection for free , so that everyone has a chance to learn something new while playing.
Microsoft launched the initiative to open a new section in the game’s marketplace, where you can find all the extensions that make up the Educational Collection . According to an announcement on the game’s official Twitter account, the initiative is focused primarily on children and supporting all teachers looking to expand their methods with digital resources.
The collection offers a total of 12 extensions, among which gives you the option to learn about the human eye, the International Space Station, Olympus, bees and about marine biology, all through the block game. Some of these are community-created worlds, for which the company has thanked Everbloom, Jigarbov, Lifeboat, Razzleberries, The World Foundry, Blockworks, and Imagiverse for their contribution.
To help our amazing teachers keep the learning going, we’ve made our favourite @PlayCraftLearn lessons available for free. Explore exciting topics like the International Space Station, marine biology and renewable energy with these immersive worlds:

Dear @PlayCraftLearn Why don’t you make the free lessons available to parents and kids. Some schools don’t provide online learning. As a family who bought 3 licences of @Minecraft (parents and kids), it would make our day simpler since no argument from the kids to do school work
