One of the most anticipated films by DC Comics fans is The Flash, whose story will be based on the Flashpoint saga, a comic book series that includes a different time line changed by Barry Allen himself.
After several inconveniences to the making of the feature film, the production will take focus on the multiverse and bring back Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton in their Batman roles.
As reported by Deadline in August 2020, Ben Affleck’s appearance in The Flash came to fruition after the actor was allowed to make changes to the script.
Once his ideas were taken into account, he decided to confirm he would be Batman again in the long-awaited DC movie. It is believed that the role of this Batman is to mentor the Scarlet Speedster.
Along with that exciting news, reports point to having another major character included in the movie, Constantine, played by Keanu Reeves.
According to movie informant Daniel Richtman, the Matrix actor is in talks with Warner Bros to reprise the character. Reeves first played the demon hunter in 2005.
Although the film received low ratings from critics on its release, over the years it became one of the most appreciated films and thousands of people want a sequel, something that actor Peter Stormare confirmed in October 2020.
The Flash was set to hit theaters on July 1, 2022; however, Warner Bros decided to reschedule the release to June 3, 2022 because production has successfully accelerated the development of the film’s story.
