Strange huge “tentacles” were caught piercing and exited the body of a mantis, in a video that went viral.
In social networks a viral video is trending that has users freaking out! Along with the panic, fear and disgust have griped people since it can be seen in the video, strange and huge ” tentacles ” slithering out of the tail of a dead mantis.
There is no doubt that nature is full of brutal natural events. One such portrayal was captured by Reddit user @jediwithanm4, who posted a chilling clip titled “Better call Men in Black.” The footage shows black tentacles puncturing out of the tail of a dead mantis to escape in search of other hosts.
At the end of the recording, we can see that the creatures are at least twice the length of the ‘recently deceased’ insect.
As extraterrestrial as those tentacles may seem, they are commonly named Horsehair Worms. These parasites live as larvae in the intestines of small insects which are the base food of the praying mantis.
Once inside the body of the host, they begin to develop into worms and, upon reaching maturity, seize their victim, overriding their nervous system and causing the mantis to enter the water, a medium in which this type of parasite thrives.
Thus, once again, nature has demonstrated how harsh it can be, and although, this isn’t about extraterrestrial beings, the idea of having these come out of our own body, through the anus is incredibly frightening.
