In a short time, the relationship between Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa has become one of the most loved on the Internet. This week, Cavill, who plays Superman, paid a tribute to Momoa, or Aquaman, on Instagram to congratulate him on his new movie. Apart from being extremely funny, the photo and the dedication in the social network perfectly illustrate the bromance among the actors.
In the Instagram photo, Cavill decided to step out of the role of Superman for a moment to play Momoa’s Aquman character. He is holding a fork, which is his version of a trident, under the water during the night (or so we imagine). In the dedication, Cavill states that he has seen the film and congratulates his colleague for the great job.
“Channeling the man of the hour, the man of big hugs, big laughs and big pints of Guinness, my man Jason Momoa. How’d I do?
Seriously though, I just finally got the chance to watch Aquaman here in Hungary. Jason, James and everyone involved in that movie, smashes it out of the (water)park. If you haven’t seen it yet, go check it out. Jason, love you bro, you crushed it,” said the Man Of Steel.
In his response on Instagram, Momoa told his friend that he was grateful that he already had the role of Superman or he would be out of a job. He also thanked Cavill with “mahalo”, the Hawaiian word for thanks.
With $822 million in the world box office, Aquaman has
already earned more than Wonder Woman ($821.8 million)
and Justice League ($657.9 million). It is the second most successful movie in the DC universe. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ranks first. The film grossed $873
million at the international box office in 2016.
