The British actor excited half the world when he declared that there would be another version of “Harry Potter,” but also worried his followers when he said he would not be part of this remake. But is what he says true?

Harry Potter” is one of the most recognized franchises in the world, with followers in both its literary and cinematographic versions. After all, it is the story of a child magician who has an obligation to be a savior.

To date, the eight “Harry Potter” films have grossed more than $2.3 trillion since the release of “Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone” in 2001, and for that reason, it’s just a matter of time before the original story is revived with a new face.

“I’m sure there will be some other version of it; I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m gonna see in my lifetime – we’ve already got a few more,” said actor Daniel Radcliffe in an interview with IGN.

In the past, actors like Jamie Parker and Gareth Reeves have taken up the role of the magician in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which takes place two decades after the events of “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows,” though only on the big screen.

Several rumors suggest that this story will be adapted to a cinema version, but the age difference between the Harry Potter of the movies and the theater would automatically discard Radcliffe if he had the intention of recovering his role.

On the other hand, the last film from the original saga was released in 2011, so it is still too early for a full reboot as commented by the British actor. Even so, we could get one at some point in the future.

“It will be interesting to see how long those films stay… it feels like there’s a sacredness around them at the moment, but that’ll go, the shine will wear off at some point,” the actor joked in the interview.

“It’ll be interesting if they reboot them and just do the films again or do a series; I’m fascinated to watch.” he concluded.

While it is true that the films about “Harry Potter” concluded, the Wizarding World franchise is still alive. The third film from “Fantastic Beasts” will be released in 2020 and as it has been revealed, there will still be two more sequels in progress.

Considering the last release dates of “Fantastic Beasts,” the series will conclude in 2024, 13 years after the last “Harry Potter” movie.

At that point, Warner Bros. could again explore Harry Potter, perhaps creating a new adventure for the young magician or remaking what has been shown since the beginning of the century. One way or another, it seems certain that this magical world has many years ahead.
