A huge python almost 10 feet long was strangling an alligator, and when all seemed lost for the reptile, Florida man witnessing this gruesome scene decided to save the alligator and spare his life.

People are usually afraid of alligators, however, in the Everglades, Florida, alligators are even more afraid of pythons.

Trappers Jack Hubbard and Mike Kimmel managed to save an alligator attacked by a three-meter-long python.

While risking their own lives, the trappers freed the alligator, which was on the verge of death.

Pythons are commonly known for invading the Everglades. Jack Hubbard and Mike Kimmel are notably involved in a project to help eliminate snakes from the area, these reptiles devour food sources native to predators in the Everglades, such as alligators and panthers.
