Imagine being a young teenager, an absolute fan of Friday the 13th, and suddenly Jason Vorhees shows up to pick you up after school. This is what happened to young Carter Murphy on his birthday.
For his birthday, his father wanted to surprise his boy with his favorite character. Just like any other dad who likes to go the extra mile, he enlisted the services of makeup and special effects artist Tony Gartland. Carter was picked up at the end of school by Jason wearing the famous hockey mask!
The father explained that his son suffers from attention deficit disorder. But he didn’t hesitate to take the hand of the greatest life changer from Crystal Lake. “It was quite a nice experience, he was walking down the street holding hands with Jason. He has issues with touching, he won’t hold my hand,” said the father.
“Carter hasn’t shut up about it, Jason gave him a t-shirt and he hasn’t taken it off since. I can’t get it in the wash,” his dad explained.
Garltand never broke character which made the experience even more authentic. We should all ask to spend a day with Jason Vorhees, maybe he can give you the swimming lessons you’ve always wanted.
This is awesome! This dad wins the father of the year award in my book haha.. it was his sons birthday and the kid wanted Jason Voorhees to pick him up from school and his dad made it happen #jasonvoorhees pic.twitter.com/D52A4ONX6H
