On vacation in a remote area of Maryland, a family was visited by a bear who decided to join their picnic.

While an American family was enjoying their picnic in the woods of Maryland, a black bear came out of the thickets in search of food.

In a video posted on social media, the bear, seated at the picnic table, waits patiently while a man makes him a peanut butter sandwich.

He joined four men and a woman, all nervously eating in the presence of the uninvited guest, at one of the tables who, by the way, was waiting to be served.

One of the men took a loaf of bread and pointed his finger at the bear, indicating to be patient.

Once the sandwich was ready, he presented it to the animal while another person began to prepare a second. He did not hesitate to quickly swallow it up.

Eventually, the bear left for the woods, said the woman in the group. Everyone took selfies with this surprise guest.

It is indeed illegal to feed them in Maryland as they would then begin to associate people with food and become a problem or threat to the locals.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources warns that food should not be kept in places where these animals can have access to it, such as in tents. Canned and dried foods should be favored in the forest for their more subtle odor.
