We were left with many mysteries and questions after the third episode of the Scarlet Witch and Vision series, for example the symbol of a sword which seemed to belonged to the SWORD agency, however the preview of the fourth episode of ‘WandaVision’ reveals that this organization will have a more important function in the plot.

As seen previously, Wanda began to suspect Geraldine after mentioning that her brother Pietro died during the battle against Ultron in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, but what triggered the anger of the heroine was to see her new neighbor’s necklace was the SWORD logo, and since this character did not answer any of the questions about who she was or where she came from, the protagonist threw her out of her reality.

Now Marvel Studios has released a preview of the fourth episode of ‘WandaVision’, where we are able to see how Geraldine, better known as Monica Rambeau, is expelled from the world that Wanda created, seconds later she is surrounded by the men of said agency, also, we can see part of the operation that is lead outside the dome where Scarlet Witch is located. As if that were not enough, the references of the 70s will end, to start the 90s phase, probably.

This exhibits the influence from the comics House of M’ and ‘The Vision’, which were, along with other comics, the inspiration to create ‘WandaVision’, as previously explained by Matt Shakman, the director of the show. This combination of history was aimed at creating something new for the public.

On the other hand, some fans from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) might be unaware of SWORD’s existence, an agency which, according to the comics, is dedicated to defending the planet earth from extraterrestrial, paranormal and other dimensional threats. Although it will have a modification in the series because the name of the organization will now be the Sensitive Weapon Observation Response Division.

The ‘WandaVision’ series premiered on January 15, 2021, with the return of Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as the MCU’s favorite couple and the show came exclusively for the streaming platform Disney+.
