One of the most anticipated moments for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the arrival of the X-Men to the franchise, something that so far seems, relatively complicated. But it seems that they are already looking for a way to make their arrival spectacular, as it was recently confirmed that Kevin Feige spoke to Patrick Stewart about Charles Xavier and the X-Men.

Actor Patrick Stewart gave life to Charles Xavier for much of 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise. The last time we saw him in this role was in the 2017 movie ‘Logan’, where he finally departed from the role for good. However, despite this closure, a large number of fans have asked that he be taken into account for the arrival of the X-Men to the MCU.

During an interview, it was revealed that Kevin Feige spoke with Patrick Stewart about the character of Charles Xavier and the arrival of the mutants to Marvel Studios:

“I met with Kevin Feige a couple of months ago and we had long, long conversations. And there have been moves and suggestions, which include Charles Xavier. Here’s the problem… If we had not made Logan, then yes. I would probably be ready to get into that wheelchair one more time and be Charles Xavier. But Logan changed all that.”

Apparently, the actor was asked to return to his role as “Professor X”, but if he closed this door on the character with ‘Logan’, things get really complicated, in addition, this same film makes it difficult to bring back Hugh Jackman to the franchise. Therefore, it is believed new actors will be considered for a totally different reboot in the MCU.
