Star of the viral YouTube video surprised everyone by preferring to leave the traditional toga aside to disguise himself as his favorite superhero.
Officials from an educational institution in Mexico were greatly surprised when they realized that a young man had come to pick up his diploma disguised as ‘Spider-man’.
This is Hiram Yahir Salas, a student at the Autonomous University of the City of Juárez who dressed as the arachnid hero during his lawyer graduation ceremony. As the video shows, he received the astonished gaze of hundreds of graduates and guests.
As you will notice in the video, some of the staff members of the institution surprised and others probably annoyed as they greeted the protagonist of the viral YouTube clip.
The opposite occurred with students and public attending the event, who burst into laughter and applause at the extraordinary scene that went viral around the world.
After receiving his diploma, the young man blew kisses to the crowed as he left the stage. However, the presenter of the event mentioned that “this is a protocol ceremony that requires all the necessary seriousness”, words that were booed by the attendees.
Speaking to a local outlet, Salas said the decision to dress up as Spider-Man “was always his dream.” Likewise, he did it “to break stereotypes and show that law professionals and students are not as formal” as one might think.
