A compelling theory has come out recently amongst fans, suggesting that Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) was the biological father of Lyanna Mormont (Bella Ramsey) in Game of Thrones .
Tormund is a savage from Behind the Wall, and Lyanna was a preteen who served as head of the Mormont House. Both were fan favorites of HBO series and each fought valiantly during the Battle of Winterfell as Jon Snow’s allies.

Unfortunately, young Lyanna failed to make it out alive, ending the Mormont house. In the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin, from which most of the show was based, Lyanna is alive and well. She could also have a secret connection to the Free Folk through Tormund.
The wildling Tormund always had a warrior’s reputation, as well as having a habit of sharing strange stories, even about his relationships. He also claimed that he was the father of several children.

According to new theories that fans from the series have been suggesting, Tormund may also have had a daughter, more specifically, Lyanna of House Mormont. In the series, Tormund told his wild companion Ygritte (Rose Leslie) a story about his brief romantic relationship with a ” bear “.
This was related to the fact that the Mormont house resided on Bear Island. Not much was revealed about Lyanna’s parents in the series, and her father’s identity remains unknown. Her mother Maege Mormont appeared briefly, but died when she fought for Robb Stark’s army .
In the books, Maege was also known as ” the She–Bear “, but this is only the first amount of evidence in Martin’s novels . If Maege’s nickname is not convincing enough, Tormund himself also has several aliases, such as “Husband To Bears”. In the books, Tormund in his story said that the woman he had an affair with had a bad temper.
Coincidentally, Maege was known for issues related to her temperament. After his adventure, Tormund added that the bear was later seen with a pair of cubs. As part of the Mormont House tradition, women are described as skin changers, but it might not be literal.
According to the books, groups of savages were known to travel to Bear Island, so it is plausible that secret romances could have arisen that would have resulted in several children. If Maege was the bear in Tormund’s story, there is a chance that he impregnated her, leading to Lyanna’s birth.
This story has a lot of evidence that may confirm it to be true, all users have been impressed with this theory, which they see as an extremely feasible notion, and let’s not forget that George RR Martín’s books have not been completed .
