Since the departure of Zack Snyder from the struggling cinematic universe of DC, a group of fans have organized themselves digitally and physically to place pressure on Warner to launch the original vision of the director of Batman v Superman for The Justice League.

For two years, the noise they have produced has been generating momentum. This movement is so bent on succeeding that advertisements on bus stops near conventions or on main avenues in New York have been seen.

These demonstrations have been accompanied by Zack Snyder, who in one way or another has encouraged those who organize the movement. His followers have also donated thousands of dollars to an NGO founded by the director to prevent suicide after the sad death of Autumn Snyder, his daughter, in the middle of the postproduction of Justice League.

Snyder has released images from time to time. Even secondary and main actors of the film have expressed themselves in his favor. Among them, Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Ben Affleck himself, have been the ones who tweeted with the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut .

Therefore, and perhaps responding to the statements of Henry Cavill (Superman) who said in his interview with Kevin McCarthy, “I have not seen any Snyder Cut – I don’t know if there is anything that exists that is a Snyder Cut. I’m sure there is footage out there which has probably been pieced together over the years. I’m always interested to see how that stuff turns out, but that is very much a chapter of my past. I would rather talk about what is going to happen in the future – the future of Superman, how I can express that character from the comic books. Which, ties in nicely to Man of Steel, I really like that movie, and I’d like to be able to tell the story where it was left at that point.” Snyder, in a comment responded, “no just tired of people saying it’s not real.”

However, the most revealing image has just been released since this controversy began around the 2017 film. Snyder uploaded to his Vero social account, an image of the entire cut that also included the duration of the film: 214 minutes.

The reactions in Vero are mostly positive, as it is a social network that many of the director’s fans frequent only to hear the latest news about the cut.
