James Hobson is a youtuber behind The Hacksmith channel. In it he has a section called ‘Make It Real’ in which he recreates gadgets seen in movies. His last attempt, some truly spectacular Wolverine claws.

A few years ago, Hobson already tried similar claws inspired by Hugh Jackman’s version of the character in the X-Men saga.

This time he opted for the bone version, the one the character has in comics and prequel movies before he was the subject of experiments that injected adamantium into his body.

That being the case, Hobson set out creating metal claws to which he later printed off bone-colored paint. But not only that. He studied the anatomy of his hand to create a way to grip them and going to engineer them as comfortable as possible so that he could deliver, adequate striking blows.

After styling a facial Wolverine look, because, you can’t just put on the claws and not look like Logan, that’s disrespectful, Hobson began a battery of tests first on a cabbage, a bag of cheerios an energy drink, and finally through concrete.

The ultimate goal, was obviously the most challenging, a concrete block wall that looked like it was going to shatter the claws. However, they worked, managing to break the blocks with striking ease.

We don’t know if he will ever put them up for sale, it’s highly doubtful that he can, since, after all, they are weapons. Just in case you feel like it, be cautious when trying to create your own homemade claws.
