Joker’ has become one of the favorite movies of many DC fans and especially for people who are not fans of the superhero genre. Now, according to a new report, it has been revealed that Joaquin Phoenix would be the Joker again and not in just one movie, but in two.
While there have been conflicting reports as to whether Warner, Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix are developing a sequel to ‘Joker’, certainly thanks to its box office success a year ago it seems almost guaranteed that fans will want more of this feature film.
Joker’ became the highest grossing R-rated film of all time, and it also received many awards from various organizations and groups. While it may be necessary to convince star Joaquin Phoenix to come back, it seems like an exorbitant amount of money could pull it off.
According to the portal The Mirror, it has been revealed that Joaquin Phoenix will be Joker again, considering Warner Bros. is offering the actor $50 million to sign a contract that would involve him filming ‘Joker 2’ and ‘Joker 3 ‘ .
The outlet notes that the studio’s plan is to make these two sequels in the next four years, with a long-term commitment from Joaquin, director Todd Phillips, and producer Bradley Cooper.
Of course, this has not yet been confirmed by the studio this news should be taken as a mere rumor, but based on the success obtained by ‘Joker’ this does not sound like a crazy idea.
