As part of the Sony Pictures panel at Comic-Con 2018, Sony Pictures finally confirmed one of the longest running rumors going around the production of the Venom movie. It was rumored that we would see other symbiotes.
During the presentation of a short trailer, which included shots with unfinished digital effects, so it will not be officially released, it was confirmed that we will also see symbiotes that appeared in the Venom saga : Lethal Protector from the comics.
These will include Riot , who will be played by Riz Ahmed (Rogue One), although in the event it was detailed that the symbiote will jump among human guests to avoid being easily apprehended.
In addition, the trailer quickly showed two additional symbiotes, including Scream . The other symbionts could be Lasher, Phage and Agony.
During the event, the presence of Carnage , perhaps the most important symbiote with Venom, was not confirmed, but director Ruben Fleischer confirmed that there could be more villains.
Previously it was rumored that Woody Harrelson will be part of the film with a small role, speculating that he would be chosen to play Cletus Kasady, the serial killer who comes into contact with Cargane. This, of course, will give rise to a sequel.
