“Spider-Man: Far From Home” was one of the highest grossing films of the year. However, some fans continue to prefer Tobey Maguire’s Spidey. For this reason, they created a video that shows the actor in the film.
The return of Spider-Man to Sony could have some advantages. Although many are sad about the great possibility that the character leaves the Marvel Cinematic Universe, others think of the benefits that this could have. As the long-awaited crossover between Spidey and Venom, by Tom Hardy; as well as a meeting between the other Sony Spider-Man: Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Some fans have gone a little bit further and even reimagined how the latest film would have looked if it was starring Tobey Maguire. A YouTube user replaced Holland with Maguire in the Spider-Man: Far from home trailers. For that, he used the famous “deepfake” which has already given us great scenes from other films with different actors.
Using deepfake they have managed to modify two trailers from the recent Spider-Man movie. In both, you can see how the film starring Tobey Maguire would have been. The result is incredible since the user managed to perfectly insert the factions of 44 year old Maguire, into Holland’s, 23 year self.
