Red Dead Redemption is one of the most popular Play Station video game franchises. Created by Rockstar Games, it’s kinda like GTA with a western setting in which its protagonist, John Marston, seeks revenge on his family. Fans have long been waiting for a film adaptation, and in this cool fan trailer, it’s Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) who takes on the role of Marston.
The saga began with Red Dead Revolver in 2004, however it was its introduction of an open world and the charisma of its protagonist that has made Red Dead Redemption a bestseller and critic. Imagining a live action movie of the game is not difficult, given its common setting, but seeing the man who was once Jon Snow turned into an outlaw, is priceless.
The fan trailer has been created by the video editor known with Smasher, using images from the 2016 western Brimstone, starring Harrington himself, with a thorough digital edit. The choice of the protagonist is undoubtedly an interesting decision, since Marston is characterized by being a tough guy, more in the style of Clint Eastwood than that of the star from Game of Thrones.
Although gamers have been asking for a Red Dead movie for a long time, at the moment it seems that Rockstar has no interest in making an adaptation.
