The 2019 Grammy Awards surprised fans from the world of Disney cinema because the company has released the first extended trailer from one of their most anticipated films: “Aladdin,” in which Will Smith will give life to the Gene of The Lamp.

The released footage is exactly one minute long. The film is expected to hit the big screen at the end of May 2019. The movie, besides Will Smith has Mena Massoud (Aladdin) and Naomi Scott (Jasmine) as protagonists.

In the trailer you can finally see what was expected from the worldwide renowned “Prince of Rap” characterizing the Gene in its classic blue color and padlocked beard, as in the animated film that was released in 1992.

The story takes place in the land of Agraba, where Aladdin is a street thief whose best friend is a monkey named Abu. 

Looking for the wonderful lamp inside the Cave of Wonders by orders from the villain Jafar, the young man will meet the Gene and this will lead to the epic journey which we grew to love that includes Princess Jasmine.
