Marvel has already found its She-Hulk. After many rumors, Marvel studios has finally selected the actress ready to play the character, who until now has never appeared in live action. She is Tatiana Maslany, and will have her own series on Disney +.

She-Hulk is not a new character. This woman with bright skin and superhuman strength was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema in the early 1980s, when she debuted in their first comic, Savage She-Hulk # 1. Like her male counterpart, Bruce Banner’s well-known Hulk, She-Hulk has superpowers that include superhuman strength, speed, and stamina, in addition to the ability to regenerate.

She-Hulk’s real name in the comics is Jennifer Walters, and she is Bruce Banner’s cousin. Walters was seriously injured by a crime boss who shot her, and Bruce decided to donate some of his blood to save her life, since there were no other volunteers present with the same blood type. In this way, his gamma- ray modified blood along with the pain and anger that Walters felt, transformed her into She-Hulk. Soon after, the criminals who tried to destroy her approached the hospital to try to finish her off, but they were met with the powerful heroine.

In the same way that it happens with Bruce, Jennifer transforms into She-Hulk when she is filled with anger. However, after being subjected to an experimental medication created by Michael Morbius, a character who will also have his own movie, except, in the Sony Universe, Jennifer managed to control her transformations and even decided to keep her appearance as She-Hulk permanently, while still practicing as a lawyer, fulfilling an almost normal lifestyle. And even though she is She-Hulk, Jennifer displays an ordinary personality, intellect and emotions. Kind of like Bruce’s Hulk in Avengers: Endgame.

Now, Tatiana Maslany will be in charge of interpreting the character according to Variety, in her own Disney + series. Maslany is an actress recognized for having played five different characters on the Orphan Black series. For now, it is unknown when the She-Hulk series will premiere on Disney +.
