Photographer Amanda Keats was enjoying a walk through Bondi to Bronte near Tamarama with her husband and a friend when she captured the surprising event on video.
The group was admiring a storm that was approaching on the horizon when suddenly, a bright flash appeared out of nowhere shooting across the sky.
Amanda said: “We had stopped to see the thunderstorm and we wanted to make a video of it, when suddenly this light appeared in the sky and we did not know what it was.”
The phenomenon was recorded over the sky of Sydney, Australia.
