Days ago, it was confirmed that Wonder Woman 1984 would be released through the HBO Max platform. Fans are eager to know what will happen in the next adventure of the princess of the Amazons, however, the Diana Prince film will not be the only production we will have about Wonder Woman, since it has just been confirmed that a spin off is in the works focused on the Amazons.
In an interview with the Geek Magazine website, the director of the two Wonder Woman films, Patty Jenkins, explained that she is extremely excited to start working on the Temiscira spin-off .
Although Patty Jenkins did not give specific details about the plot of the film, she did comment that what will happen in that story will be important for the events that we will see in Wonder Woman 1984 and Wonder Woman 3.
The story was written by Geoff Johns and Patty Jenkins with Warner Bros. at the production helm. The events of the story dictate the moment when Diana Prince decides to leave the Island of the Amazons. They have also planned surprises tied to the second and third Wonder Woman movies.
It should be noted that production has not yet officially started, but Warner Bros. has already given the adaptation a new look. Meanwhile, the film has no director and possibly Patty Jenkins is not in charge of the project, as she is said to be working on the story and production of Wonder Woman 3.
The most interesting thing about the film of the Amazons is that it will begin with the departure of Diana Prince from the Island of Temiscira, so it is expected to give details of the social and political organization of the Island. Wonder Woman’s third movie is expected to take place in the present.
