This year was already worth it for the simple fact that in 2020 we had the pleasure of seeing the second season of The Mandalorian, the series that has injured its back for having to carry the entire Star Wars franchise and Disney + platform. This Friday, the latest episode of the second season of the Star Wars series came out and the actual name of the emerald of the saga, formerly known as Baby Yoda or The Child, was revealed.

Since the release of The Mandalorian, the world has gone mad over Baby Yoda, a baby of the same species as the Jedi Master, Yoda, but who had no name and we knew nothing of his past. It took us 13 episodes and a whole year to find out that the little boy was Jedi trained in the Coruscant temple, but was hidden during Order 66 when Anakin unleased butchery commissioned by Palpatine. The most important aspect is that Baby Yoda’s real name is Grogu, which sounds like gargle.

Little Grogu, formerly Baby Yoda, tells Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s former apprentice, that after being hidden, his memories were blurred until Mando found him. The coolest thing for Star Wars-loving fans and hipsters who like contemplative cinema is, this was told without dialogue in a very sentimental scene.

People were surprised to learn that the cutest, most beautiful and greenest character in the world, Baby Yoda, will from now on be called Gargle, I mean Grogu. So you are no longer allowed to say Baby Yoda, it’s science.

At the end of the episode, Ahsoka tells Mando that he should go to the planet Thyton, where the stone of the Jedi is. It is interesting because according to the former Jedi, if Baby Yoda goes to that point, he could use the Force to send a signal for some other living Jedi to come and look for him. The interesting thing is that probably the one who received that signal was Luke Skywalker and that is the reason why he hid on that planet where Rey finds him in the last Star Wars movies.
