Director Josh Trank released a sneak peek of the movie, which will premiere on May 12 via streaming.

Tom Hardy looks unrecognizable in the new trailer for Capone, the film that chronicles the life of the famous American gangster directed by Josh Trank, the young filmmaker who has made films like Chronicle and The Fantastic Four.

At the beginning, the project was promoted under the title Fonzo, but eventually they chose to change it. The director was in charge of showing the expected sneak peek through his official Twitter account and announced that it will be available for streaming on May 12.

It is a biographical drama, based on the life of Al Capone, a leading crime figure in Chicago during the 1920s. He was on the FBI’s most wanted list, but in 1931 he was prosecuted for tax evasion and imprisoned. He died at the age of 47 in Miami.

The film will show what the life of the criminal was like after having served his prison sentence for a decade. In the plot, the gangster is in decline, begins to suffer dementia and is tormented by his violent past.
