After the box office success Joker turned out to be, no one thinks it strange that Warner Bros. wants to release another solo film of a different Batman villain.
With a budget of less than $ 55 million, the Joker feature released in 2019 was a box office hit that managed to raise more than $ 900 million. Following the success of this Joaquin Phoenix starring movie, it seems adequate to think that Waner Bros. is planning on replicating the formula with another villain from the Batman comics.
The villain in question is Enigma (Riddler), a character who has an extremely interesting story and on several occasions has known how to mess with the mind of the Dark Knight.
After the reveal of the first trailer for The Batman, DC Comics fans speculated that the main villain of the film would be the Riddler, played by Paul Dano. Enthusiasts of the Bat are very excited, since Enigma could make things extremely difficult for the Gotham City Police Department and Batman.
However, there are other rumors which suggest that this villain will not be the main antagonist of the film, since it is also speculated that actor Barry Keoghan, whose role is unknown, will play the true villain of Matt Reeves’ film.
The filmmaker has commented that the Paul Dano’s performance will leave the public with their mouths open. The Batman will tell the origin stories of The Penguin, Catwoman, Enigma and Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson), who has been fighting crime in Gotham City for just under a year.
The new reports say that Warner Bros. is developing the script for the spin-off of the Batman villain, Enigma. The story has not yet been defined, as production has just started, but it is assured that it will take place after the events of The Batman.
Warner Bros. is sure audiences will love Paul Dano’s role as Enigma, so they have offered him a solo movie.
