Predator will continue to terrorizing the big screen, according to comicbook, 20th Century Studios has chosen Dan Trachtenberg, director of 10 Cloverfield Lane, to steer the next film in the franchise.
Dan Trachtenberg takes over from Shane Black, who directed the last film released in 2018. Now owned by Disney, the film is expected to be a restart of the franchise. The plot details are still under wraps, but they have revealed that it will be a completely new story.
In movie The Predator 2018, the storyline took us from the far reaches of space to the streets of residential neighborhoods. The hunt reached everywhere in the explosive reinvention signed by Shane Black of the Predator series. The most lethal hunters in the universe were stronger, smarter and more deadly than before, having perfected themselves with the DNA of other species. When a young man accidentally caused their return to Earth, only an unlikely team of ex-soldiers and a bitter science teacher could prevent the extermination of the human race.
The film continued the events of the first two chapters and was not a complete restart of the series.
The cast featured Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Jane Thomas, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.
