The first solo film “The Flash” is one of the strongest wagers that DC Comics has for the film universe. It was recently revealed that Ben Affleck would return to give life to Batman and appear in the film, now it is reported that Superman will also have a particular segment and Tom Welling is on the list to bring him to the big screen.

When Ezra Miller, who plays The Flash in “Justice League,” did a surprise cameo in the Arrowverse’s “The Flash” series, he made it clear that the multi-universes can intersect, both TV series and movies. From the big screen they can share characters with each other and for this reason DC will pull an actor from Smallville for the new production.

CW

The new film will be inspired by Flashpoint and will include several alternate timelines and realities, so it is expected to have many surprises for the fans.

Eic Wallace, producer of The CW series, has expressed on more than one occasion that he wants a crossover between film and television, a totally creative step on the part of Warner, which as always will seek to compete against the great Marvel Cinematic Universe, expected to explore alternate realities and parallel timelines in its two new films.

So far it has only been confirmed that Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will be part of The Flash with their own version of Batman and as is already known, the film will star Ezra Miller, and the entire DCEU will be restructured.

Tom’s last appearance as the Man of Steel was in CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover, so it wouldn’t be difficult to convince him to participate as Superman in the new DC Comics project.
