The fans of Back to the Future are not the only ones who would like to see a new movie of the fabulous series of adventures and science fiction. Christopher Lloyd , the actor who played Dr. Emmett Brown , is another person who also admits he would love to participate in a hypothetical fourth part of the saga, although as long as it is done under certain conditions.

During a recent interview Lloyd commented – “I’d be delighted. I’d love to be in a fourth film, if they could come up with the right idea that extends the story and does it as well as the first three.” However he wants to make sure its done right “Well, I think its a matter of, first of all, it’s important if Bob Zemeckis and Bob Gale are excited about doing another episode [of Back to the Future], I think, really, the most important thing is if they can come up with the right idea. I think that’s the challenge is to come up with something that really is as good as the originals. I suppose it could happen. I have not heard that they’re looking for that, if they’ve made up their minds …”

While a fourth Back to the Future is possible, there are those who believe that such a film could consist not of a continuation but of a reboot. In this regard the actor who gave life to Doc said he does not see the idea so outlandish, although he reiterated that for it to work they should have an excellent script that does not disappoint anyone, especially the fans of the first films.

Lloyd’s statements are interesting, especially since in the past both Zemeckis and Gale have declared that they completely oppose the idea of doing a fourth of the series or even re-launch the saga. Could it be that the actor’s words will convince them to change their minds?
