Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation , the third installment of this popular animation saga, won number one in the US box office this weekend, beating  Ant-Man and the Wasp  and  Skyscraper.

According to the data offered Monday by the Mojo Box Office portal  ,  Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation , with the voices of Adam Sandler and Selena Gómez in its original version, achieved 44.1 million dollars in its premiere weekend .

Embarked on a luxury cruise, the protagonist, Mavis (Gómez), has convinced her father, Dracula (Sandler), to accompany her and take a break. There, Dracula will meet a woman he falls in love with, not knowing that, in reality, he has dark intentions.

In second place was the new Marvel Studios movie  Ant-Man and The Wasp , which added 28.8 million dollars and which features Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as protagonists,

Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp focuses on the mission to find Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), the mother of Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), who disappeared in the subatomic Quantum Kingdom while trying to disarm a nuclear missile Russian.

Dwayne Johnson completed the podium with the action film  Skyscraper , which fell short of expectations by entering its first weekend in theaters 25.5 million dollars.

A war veteran and former FBI agent (Johnson), who retired due to an accident in which he lost a leg, returns to action when his family is trapped in a skyscraper attacked by a group of terrorists.

The fourth place went to the animated film  Incredibles 2 , which added 16.2 million to an accumulated booty worldwide that amounts to 856.9 million.

In this sequel, Mrs. Incredible (Holly Hunter) carries the weight and action of the story, while her husband takes care of the baby Jack-Jack and the two teenage children of the marriage.

Finally,  Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom , by the Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonio Bayona, scored 15.5 million dollars.

Throughout the world, the new Jurassic saga film has so far raised 1,134.7 million dollars.

The dinosaurs that inhabit Nublar Island, where the original facilities of  Jurassic Park were built , are threatened by the explosion of a volcano and the protagonists (Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard) launch a mission to prevent the extinction of the largest possible number of species.
