On the outside, it seems totally normal, but what happens on the inside is from another world. According to the property broker in charge of this home, those who want to sleep in this facility should not only have nerves of steel but be able to afford no less than 240 thousand pounds sterling (more than 300 thousand dollars).
“Once a medieval prison where 13 witches were held pre-trial subsequently resulting in 3 hangings – the most famous being Ursula Kemp in 1582” reads the description published by the RightMove portal.
Although there are many, who call it “the most haunted house” in the United Kingdom is plainly a marketing hook to finally sell it, others do get carried away by the chilling story that is told about it and find it shocking.
“There have been many owners and renters over the recent years although not for any long periods, and sadly there was also a suicide. The current owner Vanessa Mitchell purchased it in 2004, albeit living very briefly herself in the property due to the high level of paranormal activity,” is part of the description to sell it.
However, before Vanessa Mitchell left the estate, she hosted spooky tours of the facility which is located in the town of St. Osyth. She tried to take advantage of it economically before deciding to sell it.
The house has three reception rooms, an open kitchen in the dining room and a bathroom on the first floor. On the upper floor, there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.
“The house has now been cleared of the many evil residents encountered over the years: a vision of a satanic looking goat, growling moving shadows, violent rattles, drops in temperature, and visions of ghostly figures quite often trying to push the living down the steep staircase. All of this seems to have gone, it is still haunted but there seems to be a certain newly found harmony within,” reads part of the description. Without a doubt, a howling adventure for those who decide to buy it.
