Following the unexpected firing, Gina Carano attacked Disney and revealed great details about the company’s behavior.

Despite her two-season job on The Mandalorian, Lucasfilm decided to fire Gina Carano. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when she compared the Jews of the Nazi Holocaust with the people who are criticized for their political ideologies. However, this was not the first controversial comment that caught the eye but it was the one that provoked her contract with Disney and Lucasfilm come to an end.

But Gina Carano decided to reveal some occurrences and strongly attack the Mouse House. The actress spoke with Ben Shapiro, in the interview, she decided to explain how Disney is governed. During that meeting, the actress accused the company of harassing other workers:

I’ve been through so much. And I’ve seen so much now, clearly, of like the bullying that’s been taking place. I saw it before. It’s not like, I mean, I’m not the only one that’s ever been bullied by this company. And I know that I know that so deeply, that I could share a story. And it would turn things around in the media, but I can’t do that. Because it would be selling out a friend that I don’t really have the same views as, but I’m not going to sell out somebody to take the attention off me.”

Additionally, the former Mandalorian actress revealed that she found out about her firing via Twitter: “Yeah, like boxers headhunt. Sometimes they forget to go to the body. And I feel like Disney, or Lucasfilm, or whoever it is, maybe just certain people in that company, I feel like I’ve been being headhunted for the last, I don’t know, how many months and you can feel it.”

Gina Carano later revealed that no Disney executive contacted her to discuss the controversy, but she did receive an accidental email from a team member. In the message, it was clear to her that they had decided to let her go:

“They accidentally sent me an email, which was very enlightening, so I knew. I knew they were paying attention. I know there were some people who went to bat for me, but I know that they didn’t win out at the end.”

However, this news did not take her by surprise. The actress assured that she saw how it happened to other people and it was only a matter of time before it would propagate towards her.

Carano also expressed how she felt about powerful companies bullying their employees:

“And I do have hot blood. But it’s usually hot blood that deals with people being bullied. And when I saw people being bullied, that were silenced and scared to speak, I’m not as — I don’t want to speak, I want to create art, you know, but I have a big problem with bullies. And I have a big problem with, you know, I don’t have a problem with power, but I have a huge problem with abuse of power.”

Now we just have to wait and see who will take her spot or if Disney will simply do away with her character, Cara Dune.
