The live-action adaptation of Dora the Explorer, produced by Michael Bay, is very close to reaching the cinemas. Therefore, little by little, more information about the film is released. The first image of the of Swiper, the iconic villain of the series, which will be interpreted by award-winner Benicio Del Toro, was leaked during the weekend.
Apparently, the image was taken in a movie test for audiences. In the photo you see Swiper in CGI version, wearing his traditional blue thief mask and gloves. We also see that he remains vigilant, greeting someone off the screen. Will Swiper be the henchman of a bigger villain?
The film stars Isabela Moner, Eva Longoria, Morrison Tease, Jeffrey Wahlberg, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Pena, Pia Miller, Q’orianka Kilcher, Eugenio Derbez, Adriana Barraza and Madeleine Madden.

Swiper's pretty easy to translate since he's just a fox with a mask and gloves while Sonic is this super stylized alien hedgehog thing. pic.twitter.com/LYiAV8FkuL

Ok, I swear I am not a furry, and Dora had almost no impact on my childhood at all beyond a couple Spanish words so I don't have any nostalgic investment. But why on earth would you make Swiper a hot anthropomorphic fox!? Whyyy? pic.twitter.com/tESmMLVwmg

It's pretty awesome and sad that Dora can make a good Swiper the Fox in CG than Sonic. pic.twitter.com/RKmC8ZF2xb
