Although there are only 29 people in this poster for the Chinese audience that was published by the marketing president of Disney, having them almost all together is simply… exciting. Especially because of the very different way in which the living and the dea are represented.

Before continuing, it is necessary to have some perspective on how this type of design and advertising process works. Last year io9 asked Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, if any of the dead characters could appear in an Endgame trailer, and said “no.” However, trailers and posters have found a way to comply with that but still skip the rule.

The last trailer showed some of the dead characters, but as images from the past, and in black and white. Now, they also appear on these posters, but in a very different way in the design. Basically, things change when it comes to marketing, and until a movie is close to release, it is impossible to get definitive answers on these types of topics.

The poster also offers some new glimpses that make us think. Nebula wears a leather jacket (which looks like it’s right out of a Star Wars movie), and Valkyrie appears for the first time in a group poster in what we believe is a new image of Tessa Thompson playing the character. On the other hand, Captain Marvel still seems to be stuck in the 90s, so we wonder if her new appearance is a kind of aspoiler.

The film, which could last about three hours, will debut on April 26, and there are rumors that tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, April 2.
